WELCOME TO CFC QUICK GIVE™
Federal employees may use CFC QUICK GIVE™ to easily search for (and give to) organizations that match their interests.
This year, employees in select agencies will be able to pledge on-line using the Chicago CFC’s “Quick Give™” system. During the CFC campaign season, CFC Quick Give™ will allow users to make CFC contributions via payroll deduction.
Check the federal agency dropdown menu to see if your agency participates in CFC Quick Give™. If your agency is listed, you will be permitted to create a login and password. The easy, step-by-step instructions will guide you through the CFC pledge process.
All participating agencies have agreed that the use of CFC Quick Give™ for CFC contributions is strictly optional. No employee is required to use CFC Quick Give to make his or her CFC donation. Detailed information about the use and availability of CFC Quick Give™ can be obtained from your CFC Key worker or Agency Campaign Coordinator (ACC).
This feature is only intended for Federal employees in the Chicago Area who give through the Chicago Area Combined Federal Campaign. The Chicago Area CFC includes Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, McHenry, Putnam, and Will Counties in Illinois; and Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana. Federal employees from other areas should visit the OPM CFC website for information on other local campaigns.
Payroll Deduction Preferred Method of Giving
Last year, 15,872 federal, postal and military personnel throughout the Chicago Area contributed over $4,422,302 to charitable organizations during the annual CFC charity drive, with over 76% choosing payroll deductions as the preferred method of giving. Payroll deductions accounted for $4,032,423 of the total dollars raised!
The payroll deduction method has many advantages:
It’s easy - payroll deduction makes it convenient for you to give by letting you spread your contribution across the entire year. Payments on payroll deduction pledges begin on the first pay period beginning in January and conclude with the last pay period beginning in December. There is no simpler way for you to make good things happen for so many people than to contribute using payroll deduction.
It’s efficient - workplace giving campaigns are the most cost-effective method to raise funds for charity. All local campaign costs (printing materials, training volunteers, auditing contributions, and other administrative expenses) are reviewed and approved by the LFCC governing the local campaign. On average, this cost is low compared with other fundraising campaigns; therefore, every dollar you pledge goes a very long way toward helping others.
