I can’t imagine there’s not one of us who hasn’t experienced an impact on our lives or been touched by a story due to recent natural disasters, economic upheaval, food and fuel prices, or world events. Whether it’s because of recent flooding, fires, storms, rising prices and, of course, the war, we can’t stop thinking how fortunate we are.
I understand sometimes we get tired of hearing people needing help here, and your money is needed there and this charity is asking for this and that. But, this is a fact of life and your help and generosity will always be needed no matter how little you can afford to give. That’s what’s so great about the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). With CFC, your one contribution can touch so many with so little effort on your part.
I personally thought that all CFC was about was writing a check and being done with “my contribution”. After, becoming involved as Chair of the Lake County CFC 2008 I’ve realized how much more CFC contributes to the lives of many. Your contributions truly impact those less fortunate who have been affected by tragedy or unexpected events.
I am excited to be the Chair and look forward to the challenges of finding innovative ways to raise funds, to expand the e-giving concept, broaden our participant base and encourage everyone to go that little extra. With all of your support and caring, I truly look forward to the rewards of knowing we made a difference. Together we can exceed our goals.
